The aim of the project is to develop a digitalized, multifunctional sliding shelf system for shopfitting. The aim is to develop a digitized shelving system for the presentation of products that primarily require consultation (especially high-quality cosmetics, medical applications, etc.). The shelf system should enable a real product presentation in conjunction with a digital information system for individual advance information for the customer (e.g. multilingual) and advance advice and basic selection of products (in conjunction with an app or reader, for example) for customer-specific application questions. The overall system serves the purpose of attractive presentation and should nevertheless be space-saving, robust, energy-efficient and flexibly adaptable to the premises (modular). The use of high-quality materials with a “hygienic-clinical” appearance (aluminum-glass look) as well as the integration of sound and\/or UV protection concepts (e.g. protective glass) is necessary here. <\/p>\n
In addition, there is an integrated data and lighting concept (data cards, LED strips, etc.), which creates a link between the digitalized offer (presentation) and the haptically tangible product (feel, smell, taste, etc.).<\/p>\n
An integrated “multimedia communication rail”, which has yet to be developed, is used for customer-specific media consulting. The rail can be equipped with communication tools (electronic price labeling, electronic displays, etc.). It should also be possible to equip the rails with credit card-sized cards with a QR code. This will enable a variety of languages to be called up and goods to be issued by card (therefore less loss due to theft). It will also be possible to integrate additional consulting components such as skin analysis and individualized advertising.
A modular concept consisting of basic modules and additional equipment is intended to achieve the greatest possible range of variants and individual adaptation to possible premises. This also includes retrofitting and expansion options. <\/p>\n
